plants and succulents

I have a black thumb when it comes to taking care of plants but I have heard that succulents are pretty easy to take care of.  We have two plants in our house at the moment.  One is our christmas tree and that one is not doing so well.  The other Mario's mom gave me but I forgot about it and now it is dead on the balcony... oops. Maybe I will try a succulent plant and if I kill that... I think it is time to give up.

Lago Maggiore trip with Leana and Cassidy

Yesterday Leana, Cassidy and I went to Lago Maggiore.  It was cold but a nice day.  I was a little sad that the Garden was closed... it was the reason for going to the Lake in the first place.  But we had fun, took lots of pictures.  Next time we will go see the gardens.

My sister brought me Franco's prints that I made with my aunt over the summer.  I was so excited to hang Fanco's prints on our tree, they are so cute.

bird and berry print

I made this print the other day and I really like it.  I am still not sure about the colors... I dont think that I like the yellow at all. I think it would be nice wrapping paper or maybe a pillow.  I put the grey and white print on a pillow box... cute. It looks like it would be for a wedding favor box.  I will post it later.  Let me know what you think, which colors you like and what you think it would be good for.

I think I like this color combination.

I was looking for alphabet blocks for Franco and I came accross these artistic font blocks by house industries.  They also make other wooden toys for kids like memory games and puzzles.  Really cute, hurray, great find!

Happy Halloween

I know that it is a little late... But my new slogan is "better late than never."   This is Franco in his skeleton costume.  We carved a small pumpkin which I did not get a picture of and had a small dinner with some friends.  I miss Ameican holidays.  Thanksgiving isn't going to be the same here.  No turkey, no gravy... what is an American livnig in Italy suppose to do....

16. four months old

Franco eatting his first apple from his munchkin. At first he did not like it, but he is starting to get use to it.  He still does not sleep though the night, he wakes up every two hours or so... Mama is sooo tired.  He is getting bigger and bigger everyday almost 9 kilos.

14. So much to do...

Today I made a to do list... I have so many things to do and when I finally have time I forget what I needed to do... So now, I am going to write everything down. This is a free printable so feel free to print it out and use it. I did not want to waste paper so I made a bookmark too. It needs to be printed on Letter size paper, landscape. ciao.

12. Recycle caps with Aveda

The program accepts caps that are rigid polypropylene plastic, sometimes noted with a 5 in the chasing arrows recycling symbol. This includes caps that twist on with a threaded neck such as caps on shampoo, water, soda, milk and other beverage bottles, flip top caps on tubes and food product bottles (such as ketchup and mayonnaise), laundry detergents and some jar lids such as peanut butter.
